Long time no chat, partly because I have been in the middle of a drawn out state to state move thats FINALLY over.

So now I am out of Minnesota and have become an Irving Texas resident. I am hoping you guys can turn me on to some good indie repair shops in the area?

Welcome here! I also escaped the snow and cold to come here. There is a section about recommended mechanics by region somewhere else in the forums, a few DFW places are mentionned.

I hope my post doesn't prevent others from listing their favorite places though. I am still not sure I found the best indie around here...

The best mechanic I know in Texas is G-AMG. :thumbsup:

Unfortunately, he only works on his own vehicles.

He might have a recommendation or two, though...give it a few days. There are a few other members in the general DFW area, as well.

More importantly, what the heck is with the Cowboys this year???

Best indie is yourself. Unfortunately, most of my indie is in Ft. Worth side. It is a bit far for you. Iriving is very close to the MB ParkPlace dealership, close to Love Field airport. It is very nice to have your state inspection there with a courtesy check up free.

Wonder if this place offer courtesy cars. They do at German Motor Works in Richardson, its quite convenient (and they did a good job the one time I used them).
