How many of you guys use Lucas products in any of your vehicles? here is why I ask....I never usually use similar products, and if i take the chance on a product it will be on an older car. Well last week I put some Lucas in my W201 fuel tank and in my F150. I was really surprised that both of the cars actually ran better. I just stopped down to my local advance store and picked up some more. I cant lie, that I really didnt expect any difference, but after reading various comments through the week on different sites, i said lets give it a shot. Dont get me wrong, I was scared to try it in my nicer vehicles, but I must say that I was impressed.

I think you got it wrong, If elbeik's avatars are any indication, if asked about "Lucas" products, he automatically assumes "George Lucas" products :).

Oh, and per the original question. I tried the Lucas stuff in my SL and also my F150. I did it in the truck after replacing the coils and plugs (it had a couple of bad coils) and felt like it was still not running quite as smooth as it could. I think it did make the injectors work a little better.

My SL has a tiny bit of wobble in the idle and on acceleration that feels like it might be a bad/dirty injector. The Lucas product didn't change it, and I have not made the time yet to take the car to someone to get checked out.

So, inconclusive results for me.

I've used Lucas gas treatment for about 10 years now. I put a small bottle in the gas about every 5000 miles. I've used this in a 91 190E, E420 and now my 07 E350. It really does make a difference to me. I can see an increase of about 2-3 mpg after about the second tank full after using the cleaner. I will continue to use this as opposed to the Techchron or Z-Max products.

I have had Land Rovers and Range Rovers most of my Life and they love to mark their territory with a few oil drips. I have used Lucas oil additives to Quiet noisy diffs, stop numerous leaks and most impressive on a leaking and very notchy steering box it stopped the leak and cured the notchyness.

I think I will try some of their power steering fluid in my VW Cabrio. Thanks for the tip.
