Fellas:
The radio out of the W140 has been stolen while the car was in storage. It has all the rest of the Bose system. When the radio was stolen, the wires were cut maybe 1" away from where the harness plugs in to the radio. Does anyone have access to the plug end of that harness so that I can repair it. I think that I am going to go with a different head unit. Have any of you changed your head unit with one that sounded nice with your current setup?

Sad to hear of your Loss ( Radio etc ) , i think that you may find your Answer within this Topic if not just Type in the searchbar for Bose or Amp maybe even Becker .

Take note that if your W140 is the Later Model it has different connectors , the Link belowe is for the 92/93 Models .

Awesome...when they snatched the radio, they cut the wiring harness that plugs into the radio also. Now instead of me just buying the new harness and plugging into my factory MB harness, I would have had to rewire. With the Factory harness, I can just re-attach the proper colors rather than be guessing.

There are people parting out 140s maybe they can sell you the cable. The 92,93, were one style I think in 94 they went to a different radio and plug the antenna ran all the way to the front, and the console fader was eliminated

The wirring plug set you need to replace it is the one for a land/range rover..
