I've a 94 e320 that needs engine wiring harness replacement asap- it's still running fine, but had the head gasket replaced a few weeks ago, and the wiring insulation is breaking off fast! I've tried two dealerships; they won't sell the parts (not even tell me where to get them), but they want to do the job for at least $2000.
Any one please advise me on where to buy the harness asap. Thank you.

The harness comes from dealers.

Some dealers do mail order.

In addition to having your VIN handy, get the part number from the old wiring harness itself. It's located on a tag along the wiring bundle about 1-2 feet from the bulkhead connector, which is behind the battery.

Doing this task may save you the hassle of a return.
