I have met some of the AMG engine builders over the years, quite the focused bunch of individuals, very adimate about their work. For the most part they could build their particular motor blind folded, but I'm glad they they don't, besides, the lighting is fantastic in the shop.

Builders do leave the factory from time to time, but they also age out with their motor fairly regularly. When they age out a new builder takes over with the latest technology motor and rides that design to the end. The original builder may have been out on the line or in with the engineers and then he returns back to the shop with the latest design. Kind of a cycle, so your builder may be back soon to build the next generation of Brutes.

Sorry I don't recognize any of the names you guys have listed, but I'll look into the lounge to see if I know any of the ones listed there. Know that these are the best of the best, real passionate about what they do.

Mine was built by a guy who's no longer there. I guess he messed up too many times. He's probably over in China working at Dongfeng Auto Co Ltd by now.

My motor never starts half the time. When it does it makes a putt-putt sound like an old two stroke. I'm waiting for it to blow up.

Yeah, well, I'd post a pic of his signature but my engine blew up this evening and the plaque went shooting through the hood and landed somewhere on the roof of my neighbor's house.

When I find it, I'm going to mail it to him at his new job in China. Along with a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates.

Hi, first post on this forum.

I am in Australia and have bought a 2006 ML63, engine built by Domink Baier!

I hope he built a good one!! Its done 70,000 kms (about 40,000 miles)

All good so far, love it.

YAY!!!!

Finally!

How you doing, bud.

Great to find someone with the same engine builder!
I can say that Mr Baier does fine work!

Welcome to the forum, by the way.
Thanks also for taking the time to post up your information, much appreciated!
