1993 300D 2.5 When my car sits overnight it will start right up but after driving about 3 miles it starts to emit white smoke and runs rough. If I restart the car it eliminates the problem for the rest of the day. I have replaced both fuel filters. I have not replace the fuel tank strainer. I have not notice any lower of fluid levels.
Can you help.

That seems pretty normal. It happens with my 91 and 93 300D's... just start the car 15 minutes before you leave so it is fairly warmed up. It works for me.

Smell like coolant?

Odd that restarting the car fixes it.
