 I may need to replace some O2 sensors and needed your advice on which O2 sensors are teh best. Should I go with Bosch or with Walker products? Walker is a little more expensive but does that mean they are better? I believe the OEM is Bosch but I am not really sure. I know there is a lot of talk about the MAF being a very unreliable product from Bosche and I was wondering if its teh same with oxygen sensors.

I don't know anything about this Walker company, but as a rule, Bosch makes good products. I'd stick with practically everything OEM (and I think Bosch does make the O2 sensors) if I were you.

Personally I'd go with whichever of those is cheaper. Walker is a huge supplier of both OEM and aftermarket, so is Bosch.

Whatever you do, buy the proper replacement and not the generic unit, unless you get a wiring diagram with the generic. The wires are not the same colors, and of course how they are wired is critical. ;)

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Pray tell, what does Walker make that's OEM for Mercedes? I've never even heard of Walker...

Actually I also just heard of Walker while I was doing to research on Oxygen sensors. They are priced $15-$20 more for some reason so that's why I wanted to know if their product is superior or not? Confused but I will definitely go with OEM (BOSCH!)

Um, just to clarify, I didn't say they made anything OEM for Mercedes, just that they were a huge OEM and aftermarket supplier. To my knowledge all their OEM supply is to the domestic market. They've been around a long time, I think even older than you, Ron. ;)

Walker's a longtime aftermarket muffler company, products sold at NAPA, etc.

It's in their "channels of distribution" to sell other exhaust equipment, hence O2 sensors.

They're surely made by NTK, which is probably one of only two producers of O2 sensors in the world.
