Hi guys,

thank you for your help in advance.

This is my first post, I got my SL500 98 panorama roof recently and now I'am getting to know the car. Don't have the user manual, put all the stickers on the vehicle suggest the premium (91 octane american) gas. Is it allowed (read any damage?) to use 89 or even 87 on it?

Second question, does anyone know is it difficult to replace the light bulb for the climate control display? Mine is gone, kind of hard to see anything during night.

The AC seems could use some recharging, should i just take it to the MB server and do it or are there dicent alternatives?

Sorry for ingorance, this is my first MB. Had mostly Lexuses before, now educating myself.

Alex

Hi Akoch ....

In Australia we have BP (British Petrol) Ultimate 98 (octane 98). This is what I use. It's the best we ge here.

All others supply Octane 96.

Like drags said, use the BEST you can find. In the long term you will/may save money on repairs which are related to the fuel system. It's just a speculation, but at least you know you've done your best, even if you face problems in the future.

Good luck...
