Wondering which electric contact cleaner you use and finds works best on 107's. I am concerned that I may clean the contacts but damage the rubber or plastic bits nearby. I do want to have a can at the ready as I should clean contacts when plugging and unplugging connections and relays

Thanks in advance for the responses

Honestly, for me it is whatever is the cheapest when I walk in.

If I recall correctly, contact cleaner is just rubbing alcohol and distilled water under pressure.

If rubbing alcohol from a sprayer is enough to damage the wire or connector, touching it would have damaged it further anyway unfortunately.

I wouldn't worry.

I use Deoxit D if I think the contacts need deoxidizing (cleaning). For maintaining contacts, I have used Deoxit Gold. Expensive and don't have much, so only use on critical parts.

Hard to find in Canada, so usually bought in USA when there. Used to find it at Radio Shack in USA. But seems stores are no longer there? So where to get it now?

I also have a few cans of other electronics cleaners and use those on occasion.
