Drivers side headlight is out, and I swapped bulbs and igniters. Drivers side is still out with passenger bulb and igniter, and passenger side works fine with drivers side bulb and igniter.

Next step is to replace or swap ballast module. I found a few new modules on ebay for $155, but would like to first swap them to test if the ballast is bad. Google search isn't helping me.

Where is the ballast located on '07 ML? I have an ML63 with factory HID.

with factory HID, ballasts are located beneath the headlight housings. You'll have to remove the housing to have access to ballasts, each one has two screws only.

Thanks! I went ahead and ordered a ballast. A repair shop confirmed that if it's not the bulb or igniter, it must be the ballast.

After swapping the bulbs and igniters side for side and the outage staying on one side, I ordered a used (returnable) ballast from ebay and replaced the failed side. It works again!

Old ballast had corrosion in the connector.
