I always liked those also -- very hard to find though. I think they were only available in Europe, and only for the first year of W140 production. I haven't even seen many pictures of them.

AMG II's

They look pretty on photos but once youre staring at 14" wheels (theyre 14s right?) its not a pretty sight.

Get the W140-specific 19" AMG monoblocks and call it a day
Speaking of 19" Mono II's, here is a link for a set, $1100..cheap for these rare wheels..

Just stumbled on them by accident, but if I remember right, these can only be 140 wheels... if anyone is interested..they don't come around that often...

Mercedes AMG Wheels with tires

PS: Z168, you have about the nicest looking 140 I've seen...

The OEM rims are 16 inch. Smaller than that will not fit on a W140, there is no clearance for the brake calipers. The part number is 140 401 05 02. They were the design originally favoured by Bruno Sacco. I've read he was peeved that MB offered the 8 hole design as a no cost option, which many customers took up.

I have a set in my basement. Purchased them I would say last year from a gentlemen on Craigslist. He told me that his brother shipped them from Europe and that they did not have them here in the U.S. I thought they were evolution rims. I had to get some spacers because they could clear my 300e calipers.
