I've been driving my 350SDL for some time now and recently I had a few chances to get behind the wheel of various W140's and I have come to the conclusion that the view from the inside of a W126 is superior to the W140. Sure the W140 is much more technically advanced and it has a lot of buttons to play with [8D] but the W126 takes the cake because of its lines. Just watch the reflection of the trees or the guard rails in the curves of the hood as you drive by and you'll understand what I'm talking about. Then compare it to the rather flat and sloped, (And therefore less visible) hood of the W140 there just no comparison. The dash of the W126 is also superior; again flowing curves rather then a flat surface. All these factors put together makes you forget just how "old" they really are. That’s my opinion, does anyone else agree with it?
