Will the alloys from a W124 E220 (6.1/2Jx15 ET44) fit a '88 300SL.
I'm asking as I might be swaping cars and my E220 has brand new polished MB alloys which as the dealer says doesn't affect the trade in values.

No

No, W124 wheels will not fit a W107. The W124 usually ran an offset of ET49 in 6.5" wheels or ET41 in 7" wheels. The W107 needs an offset around ET25. The 7" x 15" on the 560 were ET25. I have a set on my 350SLC and they fit well. With 215/60R15 tyres they also match the original 205/70R14 in overall diameter. The W107 300SL will either have the 7" x 15" ET25 or possibly 6.5" x 15" ET21.5 (probably fitted with 205/65R15).
