I was hoping someone could help. I recently bought a 1996 E320, and right at 55 MPH the steering wheel starts to vibrate just a little and the vibration goes away after about 60 MPH. I have gotten 2 different places to balance the tires, and both places are unable to determine the problem. The wheels are all straight and have Michelin MXV4 Energy Plus tires 255/55/16 with normal wear. Any suggestions would help. The car oly has 27000 miles on it!!!

Thanks in advance...

hey Swift, I have the same problem or may be a little bit worse than yours on my 98 E 320. I guess its just the nature of this car. I took my car to several different Mercedes dealers for check up and nothing was found and everything seemed to be fine. So my guess is that people at the assembly line in Germany just did a crappy job in assembling your and my cars.
