First two are standard MB alloys, the last third is an ATS wheel with slightly different design. There were several versions of the Bundt wheel manufactured.

MB factory
ATS
Intra
Ronal
Fuchs

etc...

The info you're seeking should be stamped on the wheels. If it's MB, it should have an MB part number on it, also stamped. If not, then it's aftermarket like ATS or other types (again, also/should be stamped).

I'm guessing the ones with the "hard wrap" as you call it are factory MB wheels. I don't recall seeing part numbers on the outside of an OE Bundt wheel that has an original MB part number. Original factory MB wheels have the part numbers inside the wheel. Not outside. So the ones you see with outside part numbers are aftermarket wheels. Why they don't have those lips, I don't know.

The wheel that has no "hard wrap" is an aftermarket possibly made by the companies I listed above. Why? Because MB only makes wheels with part numbers inside. And the aftermarket ones probably have a different dish or other dimension that's not the same with the factory and my guess is they offset the wheel lugs to have no "hard wrap" so that the same bolts can be used or something. I don't think they can completely replicate the original MB Bundt design for copyright reasons?

Look at this thread. You'll see that the aftermarket ones have no "lip" for the lugbolts. Typing "hard wrap" everytime is annoying sorry...

Can anyone tell me if these bundt wheels were painted originally. Was some clearcoating sprayed over it also? I have a few bundt wheels that I've bought from various sales. The latest one was from an older Mercedes, but they appear to be just the allow, no paint and the center cap was made out of an alloy (not plastic). Is the older bundt wheels different and will they fit an 83 td? Any clarification would be appreciated.

I think those are the older type Bundts, with the metal caps. I know Diametricalbenz had those metal center caps. They should fit, you could always jack the car up and see if the wheel fits. Make sure that if you have hubcaps, to use the right bolts for the alloys :)

I would think they're painted and have clear coat but I'm not sure since mine have yet to be restored (save for the spare)...
