I was planning on getting some wheels with the spec of 17x8 +25 and 17x9.5 +25, 66.5mm center bore. Was wondering if these would fit on a stock 88' 560sec without any tinkering needing to be done. Let me know what you've experienced! Thanks.

I believe numerous members here have had to use spacers for anything over 16". Your ride quality won't be as good as the car wasn't engineered for larger, but maybe for sheer looks.

In terms of offsett (ET25), they should fit but I doubt you'll like the feel. I ran 16x8 ET25 Ronals on our '89 560SEL for a while. I hated the feel of the steering. Kind of draggy. And I didn't like the look of the wheels being further inboard, either. Running stock wheels for now.

I have 17x8 ET11 on our SEC and they're perfect, in my opinion. You'll get varying opinions on using a spacer but if you want to run those wheels, a 10mm spacer would get you closer to the correct offset.

17x8 ET11: Me too, on the wheel specs on my H&R lowered 500SEC. Perfect. In Almandine Red.

16x8 ET25: is PERFECT on my stock US Spec. 560SEC. In Petrol.
