Could be a GPS antenna. The later year 140s were prewired for the becker GPS system.
telescopic antenna's with the top part in rubber have an integrated GSM arial and were made by Hirchman.
Hi all,

I keep forgetting to ask this one. The 1999 S 320W I'm looking at buying has two antennae: one for the radio, the top part of which is rubber, and one that's all rubber, sticking out of the back of the roof. It looks like a thoroughly professional installation, but I'm puzzled because there's no phone inside the car. Any ideas what it's for?

This wasn't standard, was it?

Thanks in advance!
