I'd like to take the plunge on purchasing a Nav/GPS system for my '02 ML. I'm guessing that all I need is the Nav unit itself, antenna and CD's for my city as everything seems to be more or less plug'n play.I suppose the dealer may have to re-program the whole thing to make it work once it's installed.

Anything else required?

that sounds right. however antenna should already be there on a 02.

it's one of those things you'll find you use every once in a while, but when you do use it you are so glad you have it.

I was under the impression that you can put the DVD based nav module into the '02

IS that right?

update- just had the dvd nav system put into my 02 ml 320 and its awesome- works perfectly

bought it brand new with the latest dvd for $1200 from Mercedes through a friend that works there

all you need is the dvddrive the dvd and about 5 to 10 min max. and you can do it yourself. search the forume re: install.

Hi, I am also from Montreal! Just wanted to tell you that I talked to Navtep a couple of months ago and they told me that the new revision DVD is coming in June 05 and will include all others Canadian cities like Trois-Rivieres that is not on your dvd!

Anyway, just my 2 cents
