Hahaha. Okay, sorry about my first question with no description. I'm just gonna start over. The car is a 2002 SLK32 AMG, silver with black interior, 26K miles on it. I checked the NADA and the KBB, but I kind of wanted some real world thoughts. What would you pay for this car?

NADA and KBB do a pretty good job of giving realistic values. Although in the case of these cars, I've found NADA to be high, and KBB to be low.

Don't forget edmunds.com

I bought my SLK320 at what could best be described as "wholesale" according to the books...from a dealer, no less!

So if you were hoping to discover these cars actually have a higher value than book...my experience says "no".

I was looking at Porsche's about 8 months ago and inquired about trade in on my SLK32. They pulled up the black book and I was very surprised at how much the SLK32's were selling for.

High or low? Your's is a 2002 also isn't it? How much were they going to give you for it? I replied in her first post also, but my gut feel is that my 2002 32 (38,000 miles) is worth $32-$34K to sell it myself. I could be way off though as I don't intend to sell it and have not followed the pricing much.

I'll tell you what it's worth !!!

2004 SLK Special Edition Komp w/ 2700 miles.

What's it worth? For me it's about 1 Million. Lowers my blood pressure, stress level,....keeps me home in the garage instead of the golf couse.

i just recently got my slk32 02 silver with the two tone interior 45k miles for 29990.
I think you got an excellent deal! Miles are a little higher than mine but I think you got a great price.

Love those wheels......................

I wanted them for my '32, but they weren't wide enough for the 245 or 255 tires....[:(!]

Mine is an '03.

The price quoted in the black book was much higher than expected. If I remember correctly it was in the mid 40's.

2002 MB SLK32 26000 miles (excellent)

KBB Private Party: $32,515
KBB Trade-in: $28,500

NADA Trade-in: $32,515
NADA Retail: $35,750

So I'd say that $32-34K is indeed a good guess. For a private sale ask $34K, accept $32K.
