I'm looking for a new set of rims for my 99 E430. I'm interested in the more subtle styles, such as the original AMG monoblocks that ame on the E55, or the W211 styles. If anyone has seen a set they liked or bought a pair and liked the result, PLEASE post! I've been looking at the Brabus Monoblock VI but it's very pricey and i9e yet to find a replica. Again, i'm more into AMG or Mercedes styles, not anything too flashy or unordinary. If you have any input, please post & thx in advance :)

Did you do a search? There's lots of threads on this topic already, including one with shots of 210s that have 211 wheels, which look quite good on the 210 chassis (well, not the appearance wheels, but they don't look good on the 211 either); I've had two variations of those on my car and still have the 17" from the early 500, later 350 sedans. And of course the AMGs came with the Monoblocks, so checking the 210 AMG forum will yield some of those shots and variations on that theme.

Good luck.

I am big fun of monoblock, especially the older ones with more flat surface. Cold not find a set for the price I could afford, so am using wheels from E420 what looks closer to monoblock than 10 spokes.
The W211 wheels are not only unpractical with small slots, but seems now 50% of newer cars have them. Subaru looks like exact copy-cat.

Same situation with me. I like the Monoblocks, but they are out of my price range new, and I haven't found any replicas. I suppose replicating AMG's signature wheel would be a bit like walking up to someone's sainted mother and vomiting on her :p I've been looking into used sets, but haven't found any that are a compete set for a reasonable price [that are in good condition]. But for now, I'l enjoy my standard wheels :)

Does anyone have the dimensions of the E 430 wheels? I kno theyr 16 inch but what's the width? I also know that the AMG Monoblocks on the E55 were different sizes as well, can anyone shed some light on what I would need to do/use (spacers, etc.)?

Thanks, it's nice to know that there are a few members who will always be the first to post, aways with helpful advice

Carlsson 1/6 wheels on my car. They kinda retain that stock MB look.

you are right about the carlsson 1/6 wheel, it does retain the stock mb look. i have that wheel in 19" on my s320, and i get compliments of the wheels pretty often.
regardless of the wheel, i think a moderate drop in ride height can make a significant difference in looks. not slammed to the ground, just a small gap (~1") between the wheel and the fender. that kind of drop won't affect camber much.

Do you the spec on your wheels? I came across the same wheel and looking to purchase. Thanks.
I guess I missed this and it's been several months now so it's probably too late but it might help out others in the future.

All 4 wheels are 19x8.5" ET40 with Carlsson 3mm spacers giving them an actual ET of 37. I was running 245/35/r19 BFG KDW2's when I took that pic. I'm now running Nitto Invo's in the same size and they actually fit a bit better then the BFG's. The BFG's were extremely close to the upper ball joint nut. The Nitto's have a more rounded sidewall.
