I just bought some new wheels for my SLK32. What size tires will fit these rims w/o clearance issues and to keep the tire height the same?

thanks

Post some pictures of the wheels.

Here are a couple of sites that will help you calculate tire size and show you the difference.

they're just brabus VI replicas. I ordered them from Jerry at .com

I saw some pics of slks with those rims, and they looked nice to me. I had a hard time deciding, but the price on the replicas was pretty good.

thanks for the reply

It looks like 225/40-18 and 255/35-18 are the best choices.

Is 225 wide enough for a 8.5" rim?

If you want to go with 265s in the rear, make sure you check the section width of the tire. For instance, Bridgestone SO3s are particularly wide and will rub on the inside of the tire in the wheel well on a 9.5 rim but a Pilot sport will not.

I have 225/40-18 and 255/35-18 on Brabus. The front will rub when you make a extreme U-Turn. I think it was caused by lowering my car 1.5 inches.

My car is stock. Hopefully I won't have that problem. I appreciate the help.
