I was wondering what size rims would fit on my '88 420 SEL. I was hoping to get 20"s but i need to know what sizes would fit, I asked some guy on a site that sells rims and he said that my model was not on his wheel size charts so I was hoping someone could give me some info, thanks!

Pl. use the search facility and you will find the required info.

THe stock wheel is 15". People go upto 18". Another issue is the wheel offset. Wheels with an offset of 25 mm or less will bolt on to our machines without spacers.

I think I saw a post a few days ago, where a fellow member was trying to consolidate all the links pertaining to the wheel size and offset details.

so will pretty much any 18'' rims fit? or are they limited to the 16 or so results that I find on the Tire Rack site? because pretty much all of those were hideous in my opinion.

as far as measurements go the 18"x8 should fit and the five lug also.. Please let me know if this will fit, and if not could someone please tell me the exact measurements that will fit?
