Excuse me if this post is in the wrong forum. Seller has a 1980 300D non-turbo with 235,000 miles. Seller has had the car since 1986. He has large folders of service records for vehicle. Last year he redid air conditioner, and has relatively new tires. Interior in fantastic shape - no cracks on dash and no rips or tears in seats. Windows all work. Sunroof works. Since he has own it, it has been garage kept. Only 2 noticeable issues are 2 small rust holes on front left panel which he knows a body shop which can fix and paint for about $300. Also, the aftermarket car stereo does not function well so will need to replace with SAT radio.
During test drive, he drove it on side roads in second, remarking that it drives better with higher RPMs. On interstate , drove it in D. Also, what is your experience as a good cruising speed for 300D non-turbo on interstate?
Lastly, perhaps I'm not accustomed to larger steering wheel, it seemed to have some play in it when driving on onterstate. Does anyone replace steering wheel with smaller one? Thanks for your patience, I'm a noobie to this forum and also to possibly owning a 300d. BTW, should I avoid a non-turbo 300D or not? Let me know those who own one. Thanks again.
Also for pricing, I'm in metro Atlanta if that makes any difference.

Non turbos like 62-67 mph... Maybe 70, any faster and MPG's will drop fast and at those lower speeds it feels more "at home"

Not sure about the turbos but the speed does depend a while lot on what ratio diff your car has
