Hi.
After crash, sensor of outside temp. in my C class (W202) has been broken down. Is there anyone who can tell me, what type of sensor have been used? Could you tell me what type of replacement sensor can I use or what type of original sensor (name, numeric symbol) have been used by Mercedes?

I hope that somebody understand me. Thanks for any answers.

The outside temperature sensor is a 3" bullet like probe clipped into the front fender ,behind the pull out panel on the passenger side(UK). There is a black cable to which it is attached that leads back through the engine compartment to the rear of the instrument panel.
It's possible that the sensor has been damaged or lost, on W202's after about 1995 the sensor is a separate part and plugs onto the cable so it's just a matter of buying a new sensor probe and fitting it , on earlier models you cut the old sensor off and attach the new one to the wiring using connectors of some sort or solder.
Hope this helps,
Geo.
