I don't get the quetsion.

Why is it supposed to be Australia?

It doesn't look like an Autralian number (license) plate.

Their cars are right hand drive like ours, Oh and I don't think they have snow too often.

No, its an authentic tag, authentic snow and authentic Benz. No snow in Australia... is that true?

"Alex, I'll take post about Austrialia, for 20/"; "This picture of a W126 in front of a bank of snow, with 0% geographic identifiers, is purported to be in what country?"

It's a riddle, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a post that goes...where[?]

From that asphalt, those yellow lines on the asphalt, those telephone wires, the way the snow is pushed back like so, from the pitch of that roof, and from blue tint to the sky, I'd say... Melbourne! Or, maybe Chicago. Yeah, I'm def going with Chicago, too.[:p]

They definately have right hand drive cars.

greginoz (a member in the W201 forum) has a different style plate to that car (and assuming like in the UK the plate is the same nationwide).

I am not 100% on this, but I believe Australia altough it has differing climates does not suffer huge snow fall (cnd will put me right on that).

The thread title is where in Australia, not is it. Well, in the South from June to October it’s cold enough for snow:

so perhaps the photo was taken last summer in ‘VIC.’

True...but isn't Australia about as close as you can get to Antarctica?
…without a boat, yes – but it’s a big continent. It’s tropical in the north – Darwin is like Miami, maybe hotter. And it’s a long way from Tasmania to Antarctica.

In Australia it only snows in the southeastern mountain ranges along the border of New South Wales and Victoria.

It doesn't snow in the capital cities. And winter in Sydney is very pleasant; warm, sunny, etc. [8D]

It all started with this, then traveled to Chicago, then Florida, then Antartica,... what was this all about, again?[|)]

It is amazing ! Guys.

Even in Tasmania, you need to go up to the Mountain to see snow during winter if you are lucky.

There are no snow whatsoever in the major cities like Sydney;Melbourne,Adelaide...etc. Temp. in winter time hardly come down to zero, may be a rare case of 1 or 2 times in 10 years. Very livable cities here !

Of course, if you go up to the Alpine Ranges during winter, you can see snow. But mind you, it is not cheap ! it costs a lot here to play sking.

Back to the Picture, its name plate is from Northern Territory - Outback, but it is a left hand drive ???
