the hoses...what part is it? is it power steering cooler or trans cooler or oil cooler lines? i cant seem to see where they go. they are leaking where the arrow is pointing. i think they are oil cooler lines, looks like engine oil on the ground but not 100% sure. its not tranny fluid.

whatever it is, how much of a pain in the ass is it to change out?

if someone also knows the mb part number for this item, that would be great too! thanks!

i think so too after a closer inspection...what is in there in liquid form to leak tho???

its oily, but i have no loss of motor oil according to cars dipstick..its dead on the max line, and thats sitting overnight and checking it. one of them does have an AC cap on the line behind the drivers headlight so im guessing its that. hmm. at least i shouldnt be needing AC much from this point, but the leak part of it sucks its gotta be fixed.

Im almost certain that the hose on the left is your oil cooler line. It goes to the "Oil cooling radiator" located directly behind the front bumper. If you follow the hose and thats where it leads to, then you know it is your engine oil cooler line.

The reason why the leaks dont reflect on the dip-stick is because they are minor leaks, but will show a drop in the oil level if left un-attended for too long.

There should be another hose on the other side coming from that same oil radiator..

I just had to replace my oil cooler radiator on my project S500.. So thats my 2 cents.. Follow the hoses to see where they lead. Il see if I can get you the part numbers, but I cant promise..

Leak?

Its probably your power steering pump leaking because its above your A/C compressor and its dripping on to the compressor...Pin point the leak exactly and check the level in the resevior.

i have had to top off the PS fluid recently, after 2 months of ownership i topped it off with a little bit of fluid, i know that needs to be resealed but those 2 hoses if you push up on them they show sign of fluid loss...right at the metal meeting the rubber. my AC performance has not changed at all tho since i got the car at least as far as i know it hasnt.
something at the belt line, or just below it (as car is moving) it flings some fluid around, since a bulk of the grease i just wiped dwon the other night was around the PS pump and the AC compressor i figure its the ps pump.

unless its falling right on top of that metal AC line, and dripping down, as the top of that hose is also pretty caked with grease and giving me the image of fluid loss, as AC R134a is not a liquid its a gas right? i had a bad evap core once on another car and smelled buring AC gass on the exhaust from when the evap core would fart and cause gas to escape and it smelled bad, and i dont have that smell at all.

its been leaking since i got the car, but was very small and minor, and in 2 months have not had to add any oil at all and level has not changed. it is starting to get a little worse and am sick of seeing it lol so its time to get it done (i have also been waiting because of its small leakage amounts its not severe just as long as i keep on top of it and due to all the major events over the past 3 weeks plus this upcoming week i cant afford to be without the car for a day or two right now, after next week i can move forward with all of these repairs)
