I didn't realize there were several choices, unless you mean from 2006, 2007, 2008 etc. As already mentioned, buy the most recent one from a dealer or you might find one on eBay (I have found CDs for my older unit there).

There is only one navigation DVD that will work in your car and it's sold at your Mercedes Benz dealer. An updated DVD with updated road information along with software updates is introduced every year. I just bought the 2009 version for $249 plus tax.

Sometimes if you miss a year you miss getting new navigation software and you end up with sofware problems. But your Mercedes Benz dealer can fix that with an upload of the lastest navigation software.

Dealers sell the navi DVD but aren't US owners able to order it directly from Navteq too, unlike European owners:

NAVTEQ did have it for $199 but now they are $249 so probably not the best deal. MBUSA is lower.

Mercedes does not release COMAND updates every year. You may be fine with just getting the latest DVD disk from some other source aside dealer if the price is better.

The question is .. do you really need the latest disk. Go to NAVTEQ and see the updates that are included. They may not have any for your area ...

new at this so prob writing it in the wrong forum however i have an 04 e240 and was wondering if any of you users are from australia and have an updated australia map dvd??? if so would it be possible to burn me a copy and post it?? im more than happy to pay for it, its just that over here mercedes charge $700 for a new one. Your help would be greatly appreciated
