Suds as beer?

Too much detergent will cause foaming, also using cold water detergent in warm of hot water.
IMO for 15L cleaning solution 1 soap scoop (~2 tablespoons) would be just about tops.

I've always used genuine MB anti-freeze. Is there any reason NOT to use the G-05 products from Zerex or Prestone?

I did notice that the Zerex description for the product says: "ZEREX™ G-05™ is the automaker approved original chemistry used in newer Ford, Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz automotive and diesel engines."

Prestone makes a G-05??

I've been using Zerex G-05 for 15 years now in my trusty 280SL. I flush about every 4 years. Almost a shame as it's as nice coming out as it was going in.
You're right....it's all about the chemistry...G-05 is a match.

Thanks Nobby. That's what I figured.

Zerex G-05 in put into M-B branded bottles for sale by M-B Dealers in the U.S.A. .

No point in paying three times the money for the same product .

Yes, I think that using the correct coolant is a wise idea based on the damage I've seen in 50 years of spinning wrenches .
