SL 55 Consumption

Just changed oil @ 8K miles (yeah I know , my bad) drained out 5 quarts of 20 -50 Mobile 1 .started with 8 1/2 quarts. So 2285 miles per quart. remarkably little for such a hot rod. That with 138.000 on the clock . Car is relatively easy driven but for a few burst to hear it grumble.

Now tires are what it eats.

Whats a dipstick?

My 04 SL 55 doesn't have one, you have to ask the car if it has enough, If it does it just says "Yes" kinda weird the only way you can find out is to take it out and measure. Why did MB do this?
