I have wondered about this lock on the side, the flip switch under the wheel and the key. A combination of the lock, switch seem to shut off the acceleration.
Best locksmith in town does not seem to be able to duplicate key.

Anyone seen this before?

Easy to just disconnect it?

I'm assuming it's a post manufacture immobilizer, judging by firstly the semi hidden switch and secondly it cuts off the accelerator. It could be something entirely different but the only time I've seen a switch like that under the dash was for an immobilizer
