Guys,

Can you please identify this part for me. 1984 230CE. It is at the firewall. Seems that the beige inside part is broken and the white part that goes inside keeps slipping out making my accelerator go out until I hammer it all back in. Where do I get this part and can someone please post a link to this part. Would pelican parts or autohausaz have it. There are so many parts listed that I can't seem to identify this one. I have put a red arrow to identify the inside part.

Best regards

CR,

I've looked through EPC, and none of the control mechanisms for the throttle seem to match what you have. It's probably a bushing similar to what's holding in the main linkage, but I can't find anything like that, nor anything that resembles that "v" bracket.

I've checked early W124s with the M102, and they've already got cable throttle instead of the complex system of linkages these older cars have.

I'm thinking that it might be the same thing that is sitting next to the broken one. Otherwise, I'll have to fabricate some contraption myself. I'll try to order one of those and see if it works. Thanks for looking!

If you can take off that bracket from the firewall and get that part number for me, I can run it in EPC, and it should bring up the diagram with all associated parts.

Hi, thanks for trying to help but this is not the part. The part is pictured below. I guess at one time it was plastic but feels and breaks like wax. It's a little donut looking thing. I don't think I'll ever find this thing. :(

Hmmm....maybe take it to a carpenter and have him make me something like this? Without this part the car is 100% out of commission.

There is an 84 230E in the Mowery PNP Yard with 132K miles on it. As I remember it has this Throttle Bushing. I was pulling parts off that 4 days last week and remember that strange looking Bushing.

Pick-n-Pull Locations

It`s 50 miles from here, no Iam not going up there, but if someone is close by, maybe they will pull it.

There are no part numbers on the associated brackets either?? With any related part number, I should be able to search and get a diagram in EPC that will show me all relevant parts, including this bushing.

Hi there,

Try this part number

A1233001540

Item number 128 on the attached picture

Link to Benz South Atlanta with price BRACKET. Mercedes # 1233001540, 1233001140
I couldn't find this, but I put in that part number, and this diagram came right up.

However, the part number that Jon provided is for the bracket itself, unless of course, that bushing comes attached to that bracket. It's certainly not the spacer ring either, which is part 131.

If you are referring to the bushing that COOLJAY posted it is part # 123-300-13-40, pricy little number.

Your Parts Search Returned 0 Part(s) %26 Air System&[email protected] Cable Part

The EPC as I under stand it is for vehicles sold in North America, not Grey Mkt cars originally sold in Europe.

Maybe STRETCH or one of the guys over there can source you one.

Charlie
Some of us here in the US have worldwide access to EPC, so that included gray-market vehicles.

Thank you all so much for your help!!!! Really really appreciated!!
That's what we're here for! Bring it down this way and we'll make a day out of tuning it up further. I charge a 12-pack of beer, or a bottle of rum
