Does anyone know exact name of hose in red circle?
My mechanic just called “sausage�.

Where can I get this?
I checked Autohaus Arizona, German Star, and Performance Products but I could not find it.

I think it is going to be the easiest Do-It-Myself job once I get the part.

The piece has the MB part number embossed on one end. Remove it and you can find it. I just bought it from the dealer last week and it was $9 and some change.

It's hard to see where the red circle is on my monitor - I can just about make it out on right side front between radiator and expansion tank.

If it's the big black hose, that's referred to as air intake plastic snorkel.

What's wrong with it? Did it split open?

Do you happen to go to German Car Service in south Scottsdale? That's what we call 'em there too.

That's my father-in-law with the SEC and my brother-in-law with the diesel. He'll never be swayed that the W126 isn't the best Mercedes ever built. His other car is a 1991 350SD. Let me know the next time you need to go down there and I'll see if I can bring my coupe. I've got an appointment there tomorrow for a full preventative tranny service on the ML.
