Be interesting to know whats being done to all the R107s on here.
Lets post a comment here when you do something each day so we will know what you are up to.

TODAY, I washed, detailed, and vacuum the interior on both Angel (380SL) and Sunshine (560SL) this morning.
Also installed Paracord to use as an emergency pull cord to open the Soft Top cover if it gets stuck.

(Uploaded pictures - all inside garage as it started raining right after I finished)

Thank you, I’m due for a tire rotation so I’ll get them before I go and save myself the work.
Wire wheels have to go:
The PO had put 72 spoke wire spinner knock off wheels on. It a matter of taste but I like them on this car. I have always had an issue with getting them balanced correctly. The PO had put tubes in which shouldn't be needed. I removed one and sure enough it was leaking. Putting one in the bathtub I found it was at one of the spokes. I was think maybe I could just reseal these. Not a big deal but on examination next to where it was leaking I noticed 2 of the spokes had a lot of thread showing. When I tried to tighten it was stripped out. Maybe that is why the always had steering wheel shake at some speeds. The wheels are very old and not Daytons so getting new spokes and nipples may be an issue.
They are just too much of a hassle so I ordered a set of used Bundt wheels off Ebay. Will probably clean and paint.

Swapped out the wire wheels in favor of original Bundt style wheels. I think I prefer the original look with the Bundts on.

I agree, the wire isn't a match at all for the look of the car...

Those are exactly like mine. Same spinner. I always thought they were Dayton's but inside I found they were made by Cambell Cali when they actually made these in the US. Now I have a set of wires the I don't want nor would anyone else probably

I like wire wheels, but the 107 is a short car and the wires make it look shorter. Love the Bundts. I have chrome Bundts on my 74, but am changing to the painted/powder-coated Bundts.

I like wire wheels on certain period Italian and British cars. Not as much on 107s.

The period Italian and British cars also have lines that make them look longer or they actually are longer than the virtually squared off 107.
Got my vacuum door locks working! Still have to adjust the passenger lock. Found the leak by sliding a rubber hose over tube until pressure shot up .Crack was in the driver door gap . had to traction the tube to the rear so the crack was more inside the door to make the repair.

Finally got around to replacing the carpets. What a filthy job, removing the old contact glue and stripping the bitumen based underlay. Good news was only a couple of light surface rust spots to clean and then coated the floors and tunnel with POR15. I went with GAHH velour Palomino which were very well made, but did not come with any instructions. So after a lot of internet sleuthing with little success, I tackled the trunk first and took my time. In total it took 4 days of finicky fit, measure, cut, repeat to do it all but it definitely spruces up the interior. New coco mats to protect the new investment. I also finally removed the sticking antenna, stripped it, cleaned out the 39 year old grease, install a new mast and used some synthetic lube to restore it to full functionality. Looking for new projects for the fall.

I drove 30 miles! (3x10, changed parts and kept going). I will have to reinstall the fuel pressure gauge on the fender! I have been thinking heat soak, the coil is around 140F, outside temp is 65F, I change coil or wait 5 min and it is good to go for another 9 to 10 miles! At least the distance has gone up from 5 to 10miles.

Still trying to debug my issues (running rich or misfiring after 10 miles, lack of power, spark plugs are fine. I replaced the fuel pump a few days ago)...
