Be interesting to know whats being done to all the R107s on here.
Lets post a comment here when you do something each day so we will know what you are up to.

TODAY, I washed, detailed, and vacuum the interior on both Angel (380SL) and Sunshine (560SL) this morning.
Also installed Paracord to use as an emergency pull cord to open the Soft Top cover if it gets stuck.

(Uploaded pictures - all inside garage as it started raining right after I finished)

Completed Number 1 and 4 of my winter to do list.

Number 1 was replace the upper control arms. You can see how that's done here:

Next up is fix leaks and powder coat the VC and intake manifold. That will put the car down for some time but I would like to get it done early as I no longer have a heated garage.
Time to relax;

Nothing much to add to my thread about this car, this summer was the summer to enjoy the car. It really is a lot of fun to drive. I drove around for 3 hours today. Just driving around enjoying the car!

Swapped out Pearl's leaking radiator with the one from the parts car. Also, moved her electric fan to her shroud from being attached directly to the radiator. It now draws air across the entire surface instead of a 16 inch circle.
I pulled Samson all apart. For reseal and powder coat valve covers and intake manifold.

Mounted some Hella H4 and H1 headlights. I like the look, it takes the traditional US quad, sealed beam look, and slightly updates it.

I drove mine! Sorting out the last of the squeaks and rattles. I am deaf in one ear so I have to have a reluctant assistant for location. rear swaybar bushings look good but noisy.
Engine getting smoother as I drive it but still need to do a plug check to see if there is a single or a suspicious pair that look different. OH and I fixed a wear problem in the driver door handle (not unlocking with key) by spacing out the little finger with beer can shims.

At idle, pull wires (one at a time) to find which cylinder is not working. when you find the dead cylinder, swap plug wires (both ends, plug and dist.) with a working one. If the miss moves, it's a bad wire. If it doesn't, it's a bad plug or a bad injector. Pearl's had both situations.
Installed new right side window seals. From K&K. Now to do left hand door...

Drove our beautiful back roads into town on a stunning fall Pacific Northwest day.

This car really "pops" with the whitewall tires. Lots of waves and thumbs ups.

This is probably OK for older cars without electronic ignition. But do not do this on the 560SL. You might get away with it with one cylinder disconnected at a time, but if you pull the distributer wire it will fry the EZL $$$ and NLA.

Hi, I'm looking for a replacement NSS connector. Can you post the part #? Thanks, Rob

I meant the post for chiroracer and his ‘74. I still have problems with getting my posts to go where I want them to. Thanks for the info on newer ignition systems.

This is it for the 450, they are NLA, I got mine from someone on Facebook who bought a couple from a supplier in the middle east, you see the guy advertising new old stock on the "107 Appreciation society", on FB every now and again.

Collecting parts to retrim the interior of a 500SL Premerger AMG tribute. The seats will have Karo centers, black leather outter trim… going to redo the kinderseat and door cards as well. Thank you to @ivanismyname for selling me the Steering wheel, it will be retrimmed as well

Made an adjustment to the Bowden linkage, moved 2mm to the left or made the linkage shorter, holds the gears just that much longer making it much better for in-town driving.
