Be interesting to know whats being done to all the R107s on here.
Lets post a comment here when you do something each day so we will know what you are up to.

TODAY, I washed, detailed, and vacuum the interior on both Angel (380SL) and Sunshine (560SL) this morning.
Also installed Paracord to use as an emergency pull cord to open the Soft Top cover if it gets stuck.

(Uploaded pictures - all inside garage as it started raining right after I finished)

Did a search and found an earlier discussion on this:

More here: Full throttle , Shift points , vacuum modulator ...

I have a 1972 Technical Data Manual - It gives the shift points for the 107.044 with W3A040 Transmission. I may have included those in first link above.

In a long time ... nothing. More like didn't have to do anything.
Just brought the coolant to level post burping with distilled water.
I worked on the shifter wood panel. It is starting to take shape.
I hope to start clear coating tomorrow.

Once pressure rod is set in correct place, I guess exact shift points can be fine tuned by adjusting rod lengths. Presume that is where RD is at?
My current engine and trans is from 1980, but the control rod and lever on the transmission were bent out of shape when it was delivered back in 2011, I got them bent back into shape during the rebuild, but who knows if my new bends are correct.

Anyway, I'm happy with the current shift points so will not fiddle with them any more for the time being.

The seats look very comfortable.
Yes they are! They do get a little getting used to but once they are in the correct position, you feel like you are in a totally different car!
I also wanted to note that it takes extra caution entering now, the bottom cushion is longer, which is great for support but since they protrude, you need to be careful not to step on them.

It is starting to look good. After 3 light coats the surface looks to be sealed as some shine spots start to appear.

To save wear and tear on the battery box straps on our Pearl, I charge her battery using the lug under her hood on the right side fender.

Never thought about that. Thanks for the tip.

I continue troubleshooting the distributor signal.
I run into yet another small issue with the aftermarket ignition signal cable that caused chaos afterwards.

I salute you on your ability to repair something so difficult.
I fixed my broken windshield washer pump. bench tested good. installed I kept pulling back on blinker stalk and no luck. Forgot the foot pedal. LOL will try again when I go to my garage. Also waiting on powder coat on some 6.5 bundt.
Also have to seal front windshield and probably change out my rear rubber.

Had an alignment at the local MB-dealer today (they still know these cars) after replacing upper control arms and refurbishing lower control arms. Had set the camber bolts to default position referring the workshop manual before alignment, and that was nearly spot on! Winter storage now here in Norway.

Why did you replace the uppers?
I replaced the uppers (Febi Bilstein) because of the age of bushings and a little looseness in the ball joints.

Cheaper than replacing the bushings and the ball joints?
Yes, the arms came complete with bushings.
