Which was it, the A/C compressor or the aux. water pump? The A/C was removed, although the condenser is still there. Manual climate control.

In regards to the A/C condenser, should I remove it so the radiator gets more air flowing through it or should I leave it there so it protects the radiator from rocks (and whatever else flies into the front of the car)? What about the electric fan? Does it aid in cooling the engine when in traffic or is it only for the A/C condenser?

That was the R4 radial compressor. Leave the aux fan on it will help if the car overheats.

yep, thats where the compressor was. Leave the AUX fan it keeps the motor cooler in traffic.

I doubt it will overheat in Mill Valley but if you're stuck on 101 because some boozed idiot spins their car out you'll have one less thing to worry about.

Plus you recovered about 1-2hp just idling the compressor.
