I have a 1997 E420. Inside the windshield wash tank is black valve attached to 2 metal lines. With the car running, I disconnect both hoses that attach to the metal tubes up top and radiator water comes out from both. My question is does anybody know what that valve at the bottom of the tank does??? I thought the radiator water should recirculate through there but pressurized radiator water comes out of both top lines when disconnected.
the part number of that valve is.. A 126 830 07 84

Whats the purpose of the valve? The aluminum tubes get hot but I used compressed air to blow through the tubes and the valve is closed, shouldnt the hot water recirculate through that valve.

The hot coolant cicling to the tube to heat up your washer fluid so it can clean and clear the fog/snow on your winshield better/easier, I guess since I never use it in Southern sunny California. and probably you'll never use either, well maybe sometime if you caugh in snow somewhere in Sedona. Hope this help.
