Ofcourse still searching for a decent wagon on a short budget.
Looked underneath today and took some camera shots to share.
Does this look like a big problem or is it something small?
2001 e wagon 2wd.
Please all comments welcome.

I don't like that second photo. Lots of rust in it. From where was it taken? Is that a natural curve in the frame member, or was the frame bent due to an accident?

Doesn't look to be a big problem to me. Surface rust. Wire brush then spray with can of undercoating from auto parts store. Use the hole in the frame to spray undercoat inside the frame rail if you would like. :)

What about the wetness on the bottom of that casing in the first pic.

The "casing" looks like the transmission pan. The "wet" is transmission fluid leaking.
Leak can be an easy thing to fix, but it can also be hard and expensive.

Awwwww Damn. I hate answer like that. Lol.
I hate to have to scratch this one off the list.

+1 on the rust. also the leak looks like the rear main seal leaking oil and not tranny, not a big problem.

Agree on the rear main seal. Not a big story, you can drive the car for the rest of its life without the leak becomming any worse.
