Hi Guys,
I am replacing my stock 2000 MB wheels with with a set of stock 2005 MB wheels.
Originals: wheels 16x8
offset 34
bolt pattern 5x112
TIRE SIZE: 215/65/16
NEW: Rim Width: 8J
Rim Diameter (inches): 16
Offset: 36
Number of Bolts: 5
Bolt Pattern: 5 X 112 mm
TIRE SIZE: 225/55/16

Could someone break down what these numbers mean. Especially what the term "offset" means? As you see, my original offset is 34 and my new offest is going to be 36. What is the difference? Does this mean that my new one will look wider or will they poke our of the car more? Is that whet is meant by offset? Will my performance change for the better or worse? Both now and later will be Michellins.

Misprint in original tyre size?? New wheels will sit 2mm further into the wheelarches. Sounds like new wheels are from a 211. You'll need RAD4052/2055 bolts..
Thank you so much Chris. You are right! I am putting W211 Wheels onto my W210. The 211 is 2005 and my 210 is a 2000. So with the RAD4052/2055 I CAN fit the wheels onto the 210?
Thanks!

I cannot find RAD4052/2055. Would you be extremely kind and post a link to them. Thanks:)
