Hi!

One of the worst thing I know is to try to see in my head how tings would look in real life..

I just got a good deal on this rims, and have to decide rather quick, but I can't "see them on the car" if you know what I mean.

They are 18" (I was looking for 19"), but since the price is so good I just have to hear what you think..

Before I get this deal I was looking at the turbin wheels and rims looking like this:http://blink.dagbladet.no/user/files/t/to/tormodnt/1203727102532122004111917AM.jpg

OK here thay are:

Honestly I think they would look better on the r171, since they look very modern. But on the other hand, yes, they will also look good on the r170 :). You should be glad you went for 18". I've been driving 18" for a month now, and I would never put 19" on the SLK. Not on Norwegian roads at least!

Yeah I know what you meen. They do look modern..
That's the reson I'm not sure if I should go for them or not..

I hate shoping wheels, is like this every time.. unless I have seen them on another car or something.

People have different opinions, but I wouldn't have something that looks to unoriginal. But it's difficult :). My wheel are 18" AMG replicas from AEZ (from my ols c-klass). They also have this type available (http://www.benzworld.org/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/45255/cat/13928), which is a good look, and as far as I would go condsidering not trying to make the car to modern.

Will get some pictures of my car up soon. I'm not sure if 19" would look that much better, since it may look to extreme.. and is a pain driving. But you have to sacrifice something, right? :D

I think it's too bling. It would probably be okay on an R171 but the R170 is deliberately styled as elegant and somewhat understated. This is not in keeping with that philosophy.
hmmm.. you may be right..
I was thinking some of the same when I saw them.
But then again, with 5 spokes they are in a strange way a bit classy anyway..
If you know what I mean..
Thank you!

Have you checked out thread.... http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r17...your-r170-pictures-here.html?highlight=wheels ?

There a lots of pictures there that might make you more comfortable about your decision. Check out Robban's wheels on page 7

Good luck!
Yes I have, and it was robban's car that the first time made me think of turbine wheels :)
