The original owner of mine was a construction company - the company name was written into the warranty booklet as the owner. I would imagine it was bought for the president of the company. Or his wife/girlfriend/mistress/boyfriend/random hooker he picked up on Sunset and fell in love with.

I bought mine from the owner of a landscape company, but he inherited it from his father in law (through the wife) and IDK what the FIL did, but I imagine at a MSRP of $38K in 1981 it had to be something that paid a good amount of $

First owner of my SLC was dentist. She had 2 cabinets in Germany and she used to drive SLC between them. Then she retired, moved back to Latvia with her husband (emigrated to Germany after WWII), children didn't had enough interest to keep that car in family, she was 78 years old, so... I've got it...

I'm a business consultant and owner of small consulting company based in Latvia. And I'm planning to be the second owner of that car for a very, very long time.

By the way, most of C107/R107 owners in Latvia is/was business consultants and mainly foreigners. It's quite rare car in Latvia because:
1) For people in Latvia with money is stylish to use new cars and change them frequently, at least until now
2) For others C107/R107 is little too expensive (ex. as only car for everyday use)
3) When C107/R107 was in production, Latvia was under USSR, so there were no such cars. I'm 99% sure that mine was first C107/R107 registered in Latvia — year 1993. And now I assume there is around 30 C107/R107 registered in Latvia, not more.

Mine was owned by a very wealthy blue-hair in Hyannis Port, MA and then after she died about ten-years later her son put it in storage for about ten years. After that, it was bought by a German Master Mechanic who writes service manuals for .....Mercedes Benz. I figured it was a can't miss situation....and for the most part right.

I work at the Department of Justice suing contractors for cheating quality standards and selling the government defective products, mostly in defense and aerospace applications, including the one that sold the defective mirror in the Hubble.
