Great additional photos and don't forget to take the rear photos once again in about a years time. I hope that they look almost the same as the nice photos here.

My fronts still look just like new but the rear disks always take a bit of "maintenance cleanup" each spring.

Also remeber that many stolen vehicles end up someowhere in Europe and they sometimes still drive around with the Canadian plates on them. We recently had an investigation showing how they traced the vehicles over to Europe after they left the port of Montreal and were usually never seen again.

Many stolen vehicles are all over Europe and our police can't touch these bad guys. Naturally, not all are stolen but far too many are.

220KMs and I had some micro boosts and downs when driving . No check engine light . Checked the codes and I found some pending , so I decide to go

Deep in and clean the throttle body and all the sensors around ! Worked like a charm . Now the B idles like a sleeping Baby and the throttle is very responsive.
Seems like the previous owner was missing some care in his B ;) .

so the 12v socket/cigarette lighter was providing power but it wouldn’t lock in place any plug in device (otherwise useless) so after searching for a new socket and finding out that part number was discontinued … I decided to purchase some Amazon’s 12v replacements and found these; one with a voltmeter reading and on they went… (in hindsight, the “marine 12v socket” placement I would have place it somewhere else as there is not much room if plug-in a typical “long” device)

Just added a little more oomph to the radio set up
! Now the speakers are keeping up with the subwoofer level and sounds more balanced.

Yes, me also. I often use Mobil extended 5W30 or Pennz Ultra and I often go more than a year between changes. I change at ~10,000 km. Royal Purple or Amsoil would also be fantastic oils for our cars...but more difficult to get our hands on up here.

My dealer at the beginning offered Quaker State 5W30 for all B's...I said "no thanks"..They didn't believe that the German recommendation applied to the lowly B Class over here.
I learned very quickly that the dealer doesn't have all of the appropriate answers on how to maintain a car.

7000 km!

Our B gets its oil changed at between 15 and 19K km - however much driving is done in a year. Mobil 1 0W40. 334K km so far. Well under 0.2 L is used by the engine over up to 19K km. Amazing.

I have no problem making annual oil changes, those 7000 km include a lot of short trips. In fact from November to April, I would say 95% of all driving are cold starts at 2 km at a time several times per day.

Your lack of oil consumption is indeed amazing. I have noticed minimal oil consumption as well and I did not have to add anything between changes.

As for my 1980 BMW, I also change the oil (non synthetic) yearly as well even though the annual summer only mileage is in the hundreds and not thousands. 😀
