I just recently did the repair for the odometer on my 123. The odometer works great now, but the needle is a little screwy.... It seems to be smooth up to about 40mph, but then its jumpy. For example, once I hit 50 it will stay at 50 until I get to about 57, then the needle will jump to 57 (well, between 55 & 60). It just jumps to that point and sticks. Then the same between lets say 57 and 65.

Anyone had this problem??? What did I do wrong here???

Thanks,

Probably nothing, it very well may be a coincidental failure of the speedo cable. You messing with it may have bothered it, that's all. Cheap and easy and not rare repair...

(unless somehow the needle was wonked or you dropped the unit while it was out... )

Double check the routing of your speedo cable. It should go through a plastic clip below the oil filter housing, and pulling the cluster out could have broken the clip. The cable would then have too sharp of a radius, and binding up. At least this is what happens every other time I pull my cluster out. D'oh!
