Hello everyone,

I am doing up a van see blog and it's going to be resprayed so I have a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a van any colour I like.

Any suggestions?? I might as well go for a colour that's not out of the standard paint range for the Vito since it's going to be a 100% custom paint job.

whaddya reckon?

Adam.

P.S. I have CGA eyesight (i.e. like most men I can only see 16 colours which drives the missus mad when choosing paint for the house) so suggestions are very much welcome!

British racing green has always been a favourite of mine, with tints on the back windows and the right wheels (something classy, not huge rims and low profiles), thet's my idea of a sweet looking van.

Good work on the camper, if it's worth doing, then it's worth doing well, and it looks like that's what you're doing.

Cheers,

Gordon.

What about this from a bmw (cough - er, sorry)

Ruby black metallic? Thing is every dent will show up like a sore thumb with this fella.

Silvers and light colours don't show up dents or imperfections as much so perhaps a light to mid gray with a tinge of blue (e.g. a petrol blue metallic?)

Looks like the colour they used to paint those 3 wheeled disabled carriages years ago! :D:

You can choose any colour you like and you're even considering this one???

Don't do it mate.

I reckon a dark metallic that's not available on a van, or V-class will be the best option to remain individual whilst maintaining a touch of class.

You'll know when you see the colour for you.

Having loads of choices is harder than it first seems, isn't it?

Good luck,

Rob

If you are going to use it as a camper - remember that dark colours make it a very hot place to stay.

I would suggest silver metallic - it looks nice on a W639 and keeps temperature on a reasonable level.

(In fact - i have a W639 Marco Polo in silver ;-) )

The Merc Brilliant Silver always looks nice with darkened windows.

However the world's your oyster so choose very carefully, might be worth going through the 'Pimp' thread to see some customised colours on there matey.

Cheers

I am so jealous! I am looking for a pale colour but not factory. The paint shop man's trying to steer me towards a solid colour and lighter colours, as well as being cooler are also better for hiding dings, dents and other defects.

Adam,

I've just found this Lamborghini colour chart and thought you might fancy a look. If you fancy something different, there should be something suitable.

Lamborghini Paint codes from PPG
