Picked up a cherry 2004 SL-600. Previous owner had a leaking right front brake caliper repaired but not before the brake fluid ate the paint off the rim and etched the metal. I would like to find the paint code for the wheel so I could repair this one.

Does anyone have any idea what paint MB uses on these wheels?

These MB wheels, as for most, are alloy with typically a low luster clear coat finish on the alloy finish.
I doubt they are painted.
The BF has eaten away the clear coat and made its way onto the alloy finish. Your wheel shop will just need to sandblast and match the type of clear coat presently on the rest of the unaffected wheel.

Thanks for the input. I鈥檒l try sanding and clear coating and see how that looks. Can鈥檛 make it any worse than it is now...
