The ML be delivered this weekend to dealership where I will inspect and purchase. My deal at time of order was $X relative to invoice, plus incentives at time of purchase.

I don't qualify for USAA or any programs like that. Nor repeat MB buyer.

I do qualify for Conquest (if there is any now). Not sure what else there is... Anyone have a list of current incentives/cash/rebates/etc? thx

Quite simple... none unless you have been a MBCA member for a year or more, that's the 's Loyalty Rewards certificate for $1000, but requires a confirming online/printable certificate.

Don't feel bad that $35-$59 a year ago would have gotten you $1,000 tmrw - there are a LOT of forum member's who scoff at MBCA to cover up their own lack of foresight.. oh, includes the Star magazine too..

Thanks for the post on Conquest for a 2013 W166 - 1st chuckle I have had all day ...
Are you saying that there is no need for conquest on 13ML to move them?

I guess the declaration by BMW that they will not let MB take the lux title for '12 has lit a fire under the MB suits to increase that incentive and not give up any ground to last year's title holder, regardless of model.

The question was if there were any October incentives on the ML - I annswered that question.

A search of 2013 ML invenotyr at your local dealer(s) will indicate will tell the tale - if a delaer had 10 2012 ML's last year at this time - example they might have 3 2013's today -or less depending on how their Saturday upside/walk-in sales went.

More of US MB dealers on average are selling a bit more ML's this month in total than October last year - remember the 2012 ML's started last Fall a bit slow from launch with not any TV support - and this year MB has committed TV ad dollars out there..

Different ball game this year from MB market strategy - more TV on top - lower dealer inventory - overall US average net selling prices up because of being able to pass-thru MB support dollars - MB dealers only have their own margin dollars to pull from and with low inventories most dealers don't need to dig deep to sell what they have coming in..

The benefit here - the ML in very substantial respect is Best-in-Class and competitive priced at MSRP - the X5 Premium has a couple of tweaks, sure, but the ML is much more sophisticated and refined overall, my opinion for real

Well - here's the update November 1 - Conquest ZERO - however, ML "Winter Event Cash" $1500 - a rose by another name.

If you're playing this card - see if the dealer says ZERO 1st, then have him repeat that ZERO, then call your Winter Cash card from the hole, but don't name the #.. always good to test integrity over the transaction so you will know for your next Mercedes if you want to do business with the same people next time..

Where dealers were allowed to advertise Conquest incentives - frankly dealers are not supposed to advertise the Winter Event Cash.

Conquest monies were intended to be used to get more customers to come in and look at Mercedes - Winter Event Cash is intended to be a non-advertised tool to help close the sale...

Somewhat of a big difference in intent and in execution..

Now - the other "new" incentive that may or may not apply - members of the ABA, AMA, and ADA can now qualify for Mercedes Fleet Discounts - and those Fleet Discounts vary by model, and in some models the discount differs between configurations...

Have you pick up your ML? Do you mind telling us what's the final deal?

Thanks for the link to the Winter Event Offer. How do we get the certificate number?

This is from the link to the Reno dealer's advertisement."

"*The only models not eligible for this program are the GL, SLS, and Sprinter. This is effective for all vehicles retailed with a Winter Event Certificate Control Number from December 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012.

My ML should arrive this week and getting another $1500 would be fantastic.

I don't think there is a cert no you can find online. The dealer will have it.. mine did. But you should call your SA right away to secure it. I'm told they have limited quanties and they don't have to offer it. Don't know how much of that part is true.

I'll call first thing Monday. Unfortunately my SA has had plenty of opportunities to offer this incentive to me. He's contacted me several times in the past 2 weeks to give us updates on the vehicle and he's never volunteered the information. He's already sold us 2 S 550's, and we bought a Porsche Cayenne from his other dealership. If he doesn't come through with this incentive I'll speak to the New Car Manager.

Thanks.

Well, unfortunately, that's typical. When they don't think they need to offer it to close the sale, they won't. The reason I was given was because they fear they might run out, and then won't have anymore to close a deal at the end of the month when they really need it.

That's the only reasonable explanation, since its funded my MBUSA and really should t be any sweat off the SA's back. But MBUSA wants to limit the hit to their profit.

I had negotiated a percent below MSRP plus ANY incentives for when my ML order came in. I was counting on the $1000 Conquest that existed prior, but happily took this better incentive.

I didn't put down a deposit so I can walk without any penalty - except my wife and do want the car.

When I speak with the SA I'll remind him that the New Car manager told me that he'd give me whatever incentive was offered when the car arrived. Of course when he told me that he was talking about the Conquest incentive (since I drive the Porsche I qualified).

Well maybe he'll surprise me! I'll find out tomorrow.
