You losing a lot of oil on the ground? I had a warped oil pan that leaked like a bitch, replaced the lower pan and it's been bone dry since. I'd check there first.

its just at the very front right under the subframe bar.

not leaking much at all, a drop or two on the ground. in about a month or so im due for an oil change so ill do it then after the holidays unless it gets really bad between now and then...

hopefully i can just get the bmw on the road, if thats the case i may do the oil pan myself to save some money, and have the indie do the front crank seal.

does the oil pan actually leak or it looks wet? also if i were you i would just change the pan because it is a hard job and sometimes the actual pan might have a hole. my pan gaskets looks wet but it doesn't drip at all. and oil amount stays the same. my camshaft adjust was leaking until i changed the wire adapter for some odd reason.

axle seals (will leak)
diff seal
valve covers (will leak)
cooler lines
trans leaks (3 spots that will leak, matter of time)
oil sensor (will leak)
steering box (will leak)


you dont use rtv on the oil pan.

you dont use rtv on the oil pan.
My ignition locking plunger broke its seal where it goes into the rear of the box, and does the fluid come out fast

Trans leaks already done. Rear main already done. Steering box and PS pump already done
Oil sensor is also part of the leak check the other day
