no.
the 92-93 has tuner built in it. that's why they break 10 times more often.

Thanks, would it be compatible with a 140 820 11 89? I have a 1432 Becker with two parts: front control, tape unit and in the trunk tuner. According to Becker site the model in my car, 600SEC 93, should be a 140 820 00 89 but mine has the above mentioned. Got any pic of the box and the connector from tuner and to speakers? Is it a 27 pin conn? Is it in working order? Thanks.

you need an amp with the built in tuner. the jack is the same, but you probably going to need the same amp as what you have.

check with the dealer to be 100% sure...

AMP

I own a 93 300sd which uses the same amp as yours, the tuner is not with this as it's a separate box below the amp. They used these on the 92 & 93 models. The part number for the amp is "140 820 00 89". I just bought one today from a San Diego junk yard for $100 guaranteed to work. If you do a Google search you’ll find places that want $550 to do a rebuild.
