Just received my order for weather stripping. Strife2 and ScottinSoCal you both mentioned the difficulty. Can you tell me again about the door pillar weather stripping, does the chrome drip rail come off in order to install new weatherstripping?

I think you mentioned drip rail and screws but I don't see any at first glance.

Thanks, BB

They're tucked back behind the rubber. If you run your finger down the inside of the drip channel, you should be able to feel them.

And it's not hard, so much as it's fiddly. Everything has to be lined up just right, and you need eight hands to hold the rubber, the channel, the screw, push back the top rubber piece, wipe the sweat out of your eyes, throw the screwdriver across the garage because the damned thing won't cooperate, retrieve it, take a shot, and go back to trying. The flip side, the side that faces the glass, is a piece of cake.

Thanks Scott, that gives me confidence I can do it myself, with a little help that is...I was worried earlier so I called my local auto body for back up in case I made a mess of things.
