hi every one, i have a 2014 cla 250, the water pump is not circulating the coolant at all. i read some where that what goes wrong with these pumps is the linkage of this actuator. what i would like to know is in what position (in or out) does it allow coolant to flow. pump replacement is a big ugly job and if i can fix it by manually moving the valve and by-passing the actuator then that's what im going to do. thank you for any help

Hey @talldarktexan, that's a smart idea to investigate the actuator linkage before jumping into a full water pump replacement. Have you been able to get a look at the valve to see if it seems stuck or if the linkage itself is broken? Adding that detail might help someone here confirm which position allows the coolant to flow.
